Prophetic Numbers in the Bible Yet to be Fulfilled—continued

Posted by on Aug 27, 2021

In Part 1 of Prophetic Numbers in the Bible Yet to be Fulfilled, we studied the first two of the prophetic numbers. In Part 2, we shall have more to say upon this point presently.

The number of all righteous souls who have lived

All who are obedient in the devout service of YHVH Elohim, He calls them His children. Just as one obeys his father and is called his son, so are we to obey our Father, in order to be called “the children of Elohim”. And so, in the verse, “You are the sons of Yehovah your Elohim …” (Deu 14:1)

In the second book of Ezra, we find another number of the prophetic numbers in the Bible to be fulfilled. We read thus,

Did not the souls also of the righteous ask question of these things in their chambers, saying, “How long shall I hope on this fashion?”, when cometh the fruit of the floor of our reward? And unto these things Uriel the archangel gave them answer, and said, “Even when the number of seeds is filled in you: for he hath weighed the world in the balance. By measure hath he measured the times; and by number hath he numbered the times; and he doth not move nor stir them, until the said measure be fulfilled“. (2Es 4:35-37 KJVA)

In general, the term “righteousness” means adhering to moral principles set by a governing authority. But how does the Scripture constitute “righteousness”?

There are two conditions one needs to meet to be declared righteous.

In the last address of YHVH to the world before the Judgement, He clearly set two conditions one needs to accomplish: (1) to be found among the remnant and (2) to be a saint. We read,

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah. (Rev 12:17)

And further, we read,

Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the faith of Yeshua(Rev 14:12)

Did we carefully read the messages?

There are two conditions one must meet in order to be declared righteous: to be found among the remnants and to be set-apart to YHVH. But to be found a remnant and a saint, one needs to guard both the commands of Elohim [in the Torah] and to have faith of Yeshua haMashiach. Notice that both, guarding the Torah and the faith of the Messiah, are necessary, not either or.

We further read in the prophecy in the Book of Baruch that the number of the souls of the righteous has already been preserved in heaven, for it has been said,

And it shall come to pass after these things [Ed. “tribulation”], when the time of the advent of the Messiah is fulfilled, that he shall return in glory. Then all who have fallen asleep in hope of him shall rise again. And it shall come to pass at that time that the treasuries will be opened in which is preserved the number of the souls of the righteous, and they shall come forth, and a multitude of souls shall be seen together in one assemblage of one thought, and the first shall rejoice and the last shall not be grieved. For they know that the time has come of which it is said, that it is the consummation of the times. (2 Baruch 30)

Now we better understand why the satan is angry with those who guard the commands of YHVH and have the faith of Yeshua: because he knows that they have already been declared righteous and their number is preserved in heaven. The satan is fully aware that his time is running out and for this reason he wastes no time with “non-combatants” but persecutes the righteous ones.

With that said, we are coming to the next of the prophetic numbers to be fulfilled.

The number of those killed in Jacob’s Trouble

And there was given to each one a white robe, and they were told that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brothers, who would be killed as they were, was fulfilled. (Rev 6:11)

Israel was carried away and scattered by the Romans in the heathen lands. But instead of looking upon them with compassion and mercy, the nations looked upon the destruction of the Temple and the exile of the Jews as a sign of the rejection of Elohim to defend His land and His people.

The early “Church fathers” came to this exact conclusion when they saw the low state of the Jews and determined that God must have replaced Israel with the Church. They were self-convinced that God had rejected the “Old Israel” for the “New Israel” and replaced His people with new people. This doctrine, known in Christianity as “Replacement Theology”, has led to the notorious Christian anti-Semitism and persecution by Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians alike.

The Muslims also saw and interpreted in a similar way the dispersion of the Jews in their lands and decided that they too had replaced the Jews, their prophet is the last prophet of all, and the religion they created had superseded all other religions.

In a broad sense, this persecution of the Jews is known as Jacob’s trouble. In the narrow sense of the word, Jacob’s trouble is the period of the last three and a half years before the coming of Mashiach (Dan 12:7).

Alas! For great is that day, there is none like it. And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. (Jer 30:7)

The only way in which Elohim will destroy this delusion of the Church is by manifesting Himself through the redemption and gathering of His people back to the Land. The departure from this delusion has already begun in 1948 with the re-establishment of the State of Israel and will be finished with the coming of Mashiach.

But until then, Mashiach gave us this warning: “If you want to inherit the Kingdom of heaven you will suffer persecution in this wicked world because of me” (Mat 16:25).

And indeed, the whole world will be in the grip of a terrible persecution in the years of Jacob’s trouble, as it is written,

And it was given to him [Ed. the Beast] to fight with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe and tongue and nation. And all those dwelling on the earth, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world shall worship him. (Rev 13:7-8)

We have the strong reason to believe that the Book of Life, Yochanan saw in heaven, in which all names of the righteous have been written since the foundation of the world is the same “treasure”, Baruch referred to, which will be opened in the consummation of the times to reveal the number of the souls of the righteous.

The number of the nations that shall be judged

For I am with you, declares Yehovah, to save you. Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I do not make a full end of you. (Jer 30:11) See also Jer 46:28, Isa 34:2, and Hag 2:22.

Which are these nations which Elohim will judge at the end of days by making “a full end” of them?

In Genesis 10:1-32, the Table of Nations lists the descendants of Noach and the nations they founded in their perspective lands and tongues. The number of these nations of the world is seventy. From these seventy nations all other peoples, ethnic groups of the same race or nationality, who share a distinctive culture, sprang to form what is known today as the United Nations of the world.

But generations after the division of mankind into the seventy nations, a new nation, different from all others, a nation set apart to YHVH, would be born on its own land and with its own borders.

When the Most High gave nations their homes and set the divisions of man, He fixed the boundaries of the peoples in relation to the number of the children of Israel. (Deu 32:8)

That nation was Israel. Israel did not appear on the stage of history until all the other nations had already come into existence. This makes Israel one of the youngest nations in the world.

The declaration in Deuteronomy is interpreted to mean that anyone who threatens Israel and its borders threatens all nations and their borders. We should not err to assume that it is accidental that the number of seventy souls that went down to Egypt equals the number of the seventy nations in the Table of Nations, for indeed it is said that the boundaries of the nations were established in relation to the number of the descendants of Avraham, Yitschak, and Israel.

The history confirmed that those nations indeed came to threaten the borders of Israel and wage war against it on the very day the State of Israel was re-established in 1948.

But the first of the nations that made war with Israel was the nation of Amalek. After Amalek, empire after empire came and conquered the land of Israel, in order to leave the history defeated: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Greece, Rome, Byzantium, Caliphate, and Turkey; all reduced to a petty image of what they used to be, in order to fulfill what has been said, “I will curse him, who curses you” (Gen 12:3).

But the day is coming when once again all seventy nations will gather against Jerusalem for the final war in this world: the war of Gog of Magog spoken of in the prophecy in Ezekiel, Zachariah, Isaiah, and Revelation.

Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tuval  Persia, Cush, and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah in the uttermost parts of the north, and all his bands; even many peoples with you. (Eze 38:3-6)

This last war of the seventy nations against Israel we studied in the Time of Reckoning series The War of Gog of Magog. (Refer to the source for more insight)

Conclusion of the matter

When we reflect on what we have written above, we will find that there is a certain signification of the five prophetic numbers. Here is the deeper insight, as we will review them below.

The number of the world population appointed to come that includes those who have already passed away, the living, and those who are yet to be born, the righteous and unrighteous, that is, the total number of mankind from Adam to the coming of Mashiach (2 Baruch 21:9-11). The number of this whole multitude must be first fulfilled before the resurrection of the dead takes place (2 Baruch 23).

The number of those who have been called from the beginning to fulfill the commands of Elohim. This number has been or will be sealed (Rev 7:3-4, Rev 9:4, Rev 14:1, Rev 22:4) in the festival of YHVH (2 Esdras 2:38-41).

In Time of Reckoning Ministry, we have the reason to believe that this festival is none other than one of the tree festivals of YHVH: the Festival of Shavuot, when the Torah was given at Sinai as an everlasting law.

The apostle also testified that those believers are called according to His purpose, whom He knew and ordained beforehand to be declared right (Rom 8:28-30).

The number of all righteous ones who have ever lived is fulfilled (2Es 4:35-37). This number of the righteous souls will be completely fulfilled in the tribulation. Then, at the return of Mashiach all who have fallen asleep in hope of him will rise again. And the Book of Life will be opened in which is preserved this number (2 Baruch 30).

The number of those killed in Jacob’s Trouble is fulfilled (Rev 6:11).

The entire world will be given to the Beast so that he will fight with the saints to overcome them (Rev 13:7-8).

The number of the nations that will come against Jerusalem in the war of Gog of Magog to be judged and be made a full end of them (Jer 30:11). The chief leaders of those nations are specifically identified in the prophecy as being Gog of the land of the extreme north, Meshech and Tubal, also Persia, Cush, and Put, and Gomer and Togarmah with them (Eze 38 & 39).

What sense can we make out of these numbers? The matter will become clear once we understand why these numbers are given to us to know.

In the beginning of the eighth year of the mankind, the serpent made Adam and Chavah sinned which consequently led to their expulsion from the Garden of Eden and to the curse that came upon the tempter.

At that moment the satan realized that his time had already been reckoned. Knowing that these numbers had been prophesied, he wasted no time to fulfill his job as an adversary (Hebrew, satan). What he had to do was to make everything possible to disrupt the fulfillment of these numbers. Having the quality of a highly intelligent being, he knew that he could not possibly prevent them from fulfillment, but to interfere with them he could. And he started doing it.

Knowing the total number of the world population was preset, he had to entice the humans into his plan to diminish this number. What were his means? Plentiful: wars, murders, terrorisms, abortions of the unborn.

There is no decade since the beginning of the twentieth century without war, invasion, or armed conflict of any kind. To mention just the major ones: The Great War, the Balkan wars, the Second World War and the Holocaust, the Korean War, France’s Vietnam war, America’s Vietnam War, the Arab-Israeli wars, Russia’s Afghanistan War, Britain’s Falklands War, the Grenada War, the Kuwait War, the Yugoslavia War, the 9-11 terrorist act, the Afghanistan War and the Iraq War of America, the Syrian War and ISIS, the First Libyan Civil War and France-Britain-US’s invasion, the Second Libyan Civil War. How many people died in these wars?

And the war of all wars—the War of Gog of Magog—is still to come. And how many more will die?

Knowing that YHVH Elohim has set a certain number of those who have been called from the beginning to fulfill the Torah, the satan has been conducting a clandestine war against them. The satan has used everything that could have led astray men from the righteous path of the Torah, if possible, even the chosen ones.

Here too the satan has achieved success. His means? Deceit and division. By having devised many religions with their denominations, orders, sects, and cults, and the many “holy” wars and jihads, which come as a result of them, he managed to divide the world.

His ultimate goal is to disrupt the fulfilment of the preset number of all righteous souls who have lived. And his means to achieve it is to kill and destroy as many souls as possible in Jacob’s Trouble.

And he causes all to submit to his image, to accept the mark of his name and the number of his name: 666 so that no one should be able to buy or sell except those who have them.

This goal he has planned to achieve by creating the ten-horned beast and its key players of the New World Order. These puppets in the arsenal of the satan are what is known today as the United Nations with its 193 members: the shoots of the original seventy nations.

For a good reason, we are not given to know the actual prophetic numbers, as no one has that knowledge but the One who has set them.

What we are given to know, however, is their meanings and how they will be fulfilled. Therefore, it behooves each one of us to acquire as much insight into the prophecy of the last days as the Ruach of Elohim leads us.

In Time of Reckoning Ministry, we believe that forearmed with the knowledge of these prophetic numbers, the reader will be able to better understand how the events of the last days will unfold, as Isaac Newton had put it correctly: the closer we get to the Truth in our presuppositions, the faster we will discover the Truth in the details.”
